Tom Vidmar one of Lyn-Tron's greatest

    Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

Tom Vidmar has been working for Lyn-Tron since 1996 and has been one of Lyn-Tron’s greatest assets. In October, 2009 Tom took on the role of Director of Outside Sales which included 10 states and all of Canada. Since Tom started his new position he has grown his territory over 200% in sales and his numbers continue to climb. The greatest part about Tom’s increase is not the large orders that he has brought to the table, but it is the growth of existing business that has made the largest difference. Tom’s dedication to his work and his dedication to complete customer satisfaction has brought more return customers and more repeat business than we had previously seen in any of these territories.

Tom spends about 1-2 weeks every month traveling around to all the different states he governs. He plans out time for Distributors and OEM accounts and visist everyone he possibily can. Tom is one of the most memorable persons Lyn-Tron has ever employed. Tom is exceptional at visiting a customer and planting the fresh idea of looking to Lyn-Tron for their hardware needs. It comes as no surprise that within days of Tom’s visit, that customer puts in an order here at Lyn-Tron.

Tom never loses contact with anyone in his territory and knows each account personally. Tom can close any deal, whether it’s by phone or a personal call. He is able to provide customers the complete information on any part and understands how to answer any question they might have. In May of this year, Tom had the most sales of any Representatives within our organization. A climb like this has never been done before in Lyn-Tron’s history. He has been such a great part of our continued success and we are grateful to count Tom Vidmar as one of our own. We look forward to having Tom for another 15 years, because we know that he will always be dedicated to serving the needs of our customers through total customer satisfaction.

    Proactive vs. Reactive

    Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Sometimes in life it’s the littlest things that can make the biggest difference. For example, lets say that you give your word to a friend that you were going to be at their house to help them move. They want to start at nine o’clock sharp cause it’s going to take all day, well you over sleep and now its 11. You wake up and decide that you’re going to make some breakfast before you head out to help your friend. By the time you get there your friend is upset and hurt that you didn’t even call to say that you would be late. Its amazing what a simple phone call can do to help smooth over the situation.

The same concept can be true in business. Let’s face it things run late, they break and errors happen. Its important to remain proactive instead of reactive. At Lyn-Tron we strive to communicate with our customers if their orders run into a little snag and could potentially be late. Most of the time if its an error that Lyn-Tron has committed we try our best to soften the blow by offering discounted shipping or other incentives.

We also have Estimated Annual Usage (E.A.U.) levels built into our most popular parts.  A major benefit of calling Lyn-Tron for your connector & electronic needs is because typically we have stock available for your request.  By utilizing the E.A.U.s we should never run out of our popular style parts thus giving you, our customer, the fastest service possible.  In business it’s always important to remain proactive instead of reactive.

    Google Wave

All I can say is wow! If you have not heard of this awesome tool yet, I suggest you follow this link and read up.  This tool could, and probably will, revolutionize the way we do business and stay in touch with friends and family. You can think of it as a live, on line collaboration tool box of goodness. I have just started to scratch the surface of it’s features. If anybody is interested in receiving an invite I have about 5 left. Just so you know, Wave is still in an experimental state so you may need to have some patience, but I have yet to see any undesirable results.

Social Networking has become a huge part of the on line community. With sites like Digg, Twitter, Facebook, and so on, it has never been easier or faster to share information. Lyn-Tron has added a new feature to their blogs that makes it easier to post an article to your own accounts.

Lyn-Tron has also added Facebook and LinkedIn icons to the homepage. Clicking on one of these links will take you to Lyn-Tron’s social networking sites.

Josh Holley New VP of Sales & Marketing

    Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Change is occurring all around us, and at Lyn-Tron we are no different. There have been many changes in the last 10 to 15 years that we felt were beneficial to the company. We have decided on another change with that same beneficial goal in mind.

Effective as of, Oct. 19, 2009, Tom Vidmar will become Director of Sales for nine states. This will also include our neighbour to the north, Canada. Tom is excited about this move which will allow him to get out of the office and sell full time. This change is expected to bring in more sales from Tom’s areas of assignment.

Our new Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be Josh Holley. He has gain much experience in the short time he has been with Lyn-Tron. I have great confidence in Josh’s ability to take over this position, and I am looking forward for great things to happen over the next few years.

With Josh doing Sales and Marketing we will be having Tyler Lynn handling more and more of the production control. He will now be our Operations Manager, and will be responsible for quoting and scheduling.

    Sincerely,
    Don Lynn
