    New CNC Supervisor, Steve Clark

    Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Lyn-Tron would like to welcome our new CNC supervisor Steve Clark. Steve may be new to the position of CNC supervisor but has worked for Lyn-Tron for over a decade. Actually, Steve started working for Lyn-Tron while still attending collage at Eastern Washington University. He started as a part-time employee which was one of his requirements for his scholarship.

Even with the fluctuating schedule of a college student, Lyn-Tron was more than considerate with his availability. Once starting night classes he was able to start working full-time for Lyn-Tron, where Steve moved to the position of raw material handler. After working in the department for over a year, the CNC foreman at the time noticed he was studying advance statistics and thought that Steve could handle the work in the CNC.

Steve has spent 7 years in the CNC department moving his way from trainee to night-shift foreman to lead man on days finally to his new position as supervisor. Steve is very honoured to take on this new challenge, but tributes his success to the great team we have in the CNC department. Lyn-Tron would again like to congratulate Steve on all his hard work and his years of dedication. We know that Steve will keep up with the amazing quality of work we have come to appreciate.

    Lyn-Tron & NAS – Part 2

    Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

In an effort to give our customers exactly what they have asked for, we will be adding some of the most popular NAS parts to our already extensive catalog. These parts will be incorporated into Lyn-Tron’s standard part family. This will ensure that our customers can order an NAS part by that designation and it will be that designation through order placement, manufacturing and finally shipping; until it reaches our valued customers.

With this addition we have been developing a brand new, easier, user interface on our website. This will help the process of finding the exact NAS part our customers are looking for. Also with doing minor in-house software improvements and training our sales staff with some of the complexity that is the National Aerospace Standard. All of these additions have resulted in the most precise and the easiest process there can be. Thus allowing our customers to go through and find an NAS part. It will always be Lyn-Tron’s priority to provide a quality product but to also provide a quality service for our valued customer to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

    Lyn-Tron and NAS Relationship

    Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

Here at Lyn-Tron we have always been committed to bring our customers a quality product through the most precise processes of manufacturing. Over the years, the National Aerospace Standard has produced products that go through the most rigorous manufacturing process. This ensures a product like no other.

At Lyn-Tron we use the similar method of manufacturing when we make our catalog parts. Throughout the years we’ve created many custom parts to work in place of NAS style parts, but without the NAS part number designation. Without this designation we could never claim to be official manufactures of NAS style parts. To be continued….

A note from Don Lynn, CEO

    Monday, January 10th, 2011

    Dear Customers & Friends,

2010 brought Lyn-Tron many challenges and rewards.  In terms of sales, we’re hopefully optimistic that 2011 will continue to have the up swing that was showcased in the latter half of 2010.  Comparatively speaking we saw a 40% growth in our sales from 2009.  That is an excellent number considering the country’s current economic condition and the economic trials we’re facing as a nation.  Each year offers new and exciting challenges.  As a company you have to be ready to change and adapt as the needs arise.

New market areas are consistently presenting themselves to us.  We’re starting to notice more “nitch” industries that we can better serve that would benefit from our products.  With the efforts of Josh Holley and our in-house marketing team; we’re reaching out to companies in these different markets and we are impressed at the reception that we’ve received.  As the customer base grows and expands so must our machinists and machines.

New machines are arriving at Lyn-Tron in the coming weeks and months.  Our machinists diligently work with our in-house tooling department to constantly improve the way we make our products.  By utilizing the latest in technology and pushing the envelope of our machines and machinists we reduce our overhead and costs, thus passing those savings on to our loyal customers.  Lyn-Tron strives to provide a superior product.    The quality control department is also improving efficiency and soon will be able to offer a highly advanced statistical reports on every batch of parts we make. Collecting this data will once again open the doors to more markets.

2010 was a tough year but it was a year of great improvement.  We gained ground on our competitors and we’ are gaining ground in the electronic fastener market as a whole.  I have no doubt that 2011 will continue to bring prosperity and progress to our company.  I look forward to see what the new year holds for us and our customers.

    Sincerely,

    Don E. Lynn
    President & CEO

Vote for the next feature at lyntron.com

    Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

Currently we’re conducting a survey we want to know what you want next out of lyntron.com.   As an authorized distributor you currently have the ability to cast your vote.  In order to access the survey, simply login to the site as normal and go to the home page.  You then should be able to see the survey located in the middle right portion of the screen.  Once you’ve casted your vote you’ll be able to see the current results of what other distributors have voted for.  I can tell you that as of right now (4/14/2010) the overwhelming opinion is for Online Order Tracking.

Once your vote is cast you won’t have the chance to go back and resubmit it.  So make it count!  We’ll keep this survey up on the homepage for about a month or two then we’ll put another one up.

    Lyn-Tron Online Desktop

    Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Lyn-Tron’s IT department has been busy developing an on-line desktop for distributors and representatives. This new feature will allow users to use a browser, much like their regular desktop. There will be a familiar look and feel to the on-line desktop including a windowing system for using multiple on-line apps at the same time. The windows can be placed anywhere inside the desktop. Check out the video below for a very early sneak peek.

    Lyn-Tron Santa Claus?

    Friday, December 11th, 2009

    SantaClaus

Did you know Santa Claus has mad Davenport machining skills??  Who knew?!?  Apparently when Santa isn’t busy getting ready for his all nighter around the world, he spends most of his time setting up jobs on the Davenport multi-spindle machines at Lyn-Tron.  This Santa is not your average mall Santa.  He is the real deal! I dare you to try tugging on that beard of his to see if it’s fake.  You’ll be in for quite a surprise!  Santa enjoys spending time in the Spokane, WA area.  He books many appearance jobs around the city and spreads holiday cheer to all.  Another clue this is the REAL Santa is that he donates all the money he receives from his appearances to local charities.  If that’s not a sign of the real Santa Claus, then I don’t know what is.  Lyn-Tron is proud to have Santa as one of their own!

    (Thanks Ed!!)

Fasteners Show in Vegas | Nov. 16-18

    Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Lyn-Tron will be attending the National Industrial Fastener Show this year being held in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay South Hotel.  The NFS show is scheduled to run from November 16th through the 18th.

Come by the booth and talk to the knowledge sales staff Josh Holley (Vice President of Sales & Marketing), Tyler Lynn (Estimator) and Jim Goldsberry (Sales Supervisor).  At this show Lyn-Tron will unveil it’s new trade show booth, along with our newest brochure. We’ve also created a new form digital media that will be used.

As a quick side note, I should also mention that Lyn-Tron recently purchased a brand new Starr CNC 10mm machine. This machine has been added to the CNC department which brings the total number of machines in that department to 12. This will helps alleviate, the burden of an already busy department that makes highly precise standard catalog and custom parts.

    Sincerely,
    Jeff Nichols
