    Age of Technology

    Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

When I first started here at Lyn-Tron, we communicated with our customers by phone lines, and one solitary fax machine. Also, we were getting a lot of orders through the mail. Now with the advancement of technology, I have customers contacting Lyn-Tron by phone, multiple fax machines, E-mail, our website, voice mail, and text messages. Because of these advancements, it has made communication with customers easier and our market place larger. Even with the advancement of our website, we have just as many customers using the website for quoting as those customers who phone Lyn-Tron directly for quotes. Even our own factory reps are going the route of the website when quoting.

However, even with all these different forms of communication, we still get the majority of customer order follow ups through phone calls. Even with the evolving forms of technology, we will always offer our amazing customer service. At the end of the day our job is to make our customers experience with Lyn-Tron in all it’s forms so superb that they become loyal customers now and forever. Lyn-Tron to offer NAS parts

    Thursday, February 18th, 2010

The National Aerospace Stardard is a requirement that is found aerospace industry.  One major area of focus for NAS style parts are that they have a tight tolerance during manufacturing.  Here at Lyn-Tron, we pride ourselves on the ability to machine parts to tight tolerances while providing near mirror like finishes.  We’ve created a good deal of our catalog parts to work in place of NAS style part, but without the NAS part number designation.  Sometime during the first quarter of 2010 look for some changes at Lyn-Tron concerning NAS style parts.

    Proactive vs. Reactive

    Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Sometimes in life it’s the littlest things that can make the biggest difference. For example, lets say that you give your word to a friend that you were going to be at their house to help them move. They want to start at nine o’clock sharp cause it’s going to take all day, well you over sleep and now its 11. You wake up and decide that you’re going to make some breakfast before you head out to help your friend. By the time you get there your friend is upset and hurt that you didn’t even call to say that you would be late. Its amazing what a simple phone call can do to help smooth over the situation.

The same concept can be true in business. Let’s face it things run late, they break and errors happen. Its important to remain proactive instead of reactive. At Lyn-Tron we strive to communicate with our customers if their orders run into a little snag and could potentially be late. Most of the time if its an error that Lyn-Tron has committed we try our best to soften the blow by offering discounted shipping or other incentives.

We also have Estimated Annual Usage (E.A.U.) levels built into our most popular parts.  A major benefit of calling Lyn-Tron for your connector & electronic needs is because typically we have stock available for your request.  By utilizing the E.A.U.s we should never run out of our popular style parts thus giving you, our customer, the fastest service possible.  In business it’s always important to remain proactive instead of reactive.

    The Complete Picture

    Monday, November 2nd, 2009

I have a camera that has an interesting feature on it called Color Highlight. When I take an image in this mode, the picture will be rendered in black and white except for the one color that I choose to highlight. It makes for an interesting and dynamic image. Although this works well in digital photography, it doesn’t translate into business. If a company only focuses on one area or department, the rest of the company can be left in the dark. To work well and to better serve the customer, all departments need to be highlighted and come into focus. For example, as Lyn-Tron’s Production department has been gearing up with new equipment and procedures to better suit the customer, the Sales department has not been sitting on the sidelines. We have reviewed our procedures and have started using a policy of checking individual orders for accuracy before they are filled and sent to the customer. At Lyn-Tron, product improvement it is a continual procedure and all areas of the company participate. Lyn-Tron is continually striving to offer our customers the complete picture.

Josh Holley New VP of Sales & Marketing

    Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Change is occurring all around us, and at Lyn-Tron we are no different. There have been many changes in the last 10 to 15 years that we felt were beneficial to the company. We have decided on another change with that same beneficial goal in mind.

Effective as of, Oct. 19, 2009, Tom Vidmar will become Director of Sales for nine states. This will also include our neighbour to the north, Canada. Tom is excited about this move which will allow him to get out of the office and sell full time. This change is expected to bring in more sales from Tom’s areas of assignment.

Our new Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be Josh Holley. He has gain much experience in the short time he has been with Lyn-Tron. I have great confidence in Josh’s ability to take over this position, and I am looking forward for great things to happen over the next few years.

With Josh doing Sales and Marketing we will be having Tyler Lynn handling more and more of the production control. He will now be our Operations Manager, and will be responsible for quoting and scheduling.

    Sincerely,
    Don Lynn

    An Estimators Hello

    Monday, August 10th, 2009

First off, I would like to thank and congratulate our I.T department on the wonderful job they have done with our new website.  They have met and succeeded all of our expectations in creating this state of the art website that will help Lyn-Tron, and most importantly our customers.

At Lyn-Tron, we have always strived to make the best quality products at the best competitive price.  Thanks to our machinists and manufacturer’s broad knowledge and skills, we are able to produce the best quality parts in the industry.  Here in the sales department, we as estimators try to give our customers the lowest, most competitive prices possible.  During these hard times, we have been working tirelessly in making sure our prices are suitable for the customer.  We know that our customers need great quality parts at a great price.  Please let us know of anything that we can do to help you.

As a basketball nut that bleeds purple and yellow, I must finish by saying GO LAKERS! 2009 NBA Champs! I think Kobe has silenced all of his critics and is ready for another championship next year.
