Thumb nuts offer a unique and finished look that allow for a nut to be tightened without tools. Lyn-Tron's thumb nuts are offered in all common female threads and in both the round knurled thumb nuts and hex style thumb nuts. Thumb nuts can be used to secure electrical wiring in electrical components or to temporarily fasten parts that need adjustments, changing, or removing frequently. The hex shape allows for greater torquing as the flat sides allow for wrench tightening. Brass is corrosion resistant, nonmagnetic, and easily machinable. Base metal is yellow, but many plating options are available when different colors are required.
